Guerrilla Design
Nil By Mouth is one of Scotlands most well known anti-sectarian charities based in Glasgow. They aim to achieve a society free from sectarianism, where cultural and religious diversity is respected and celebrated by everyone. They believe that Scotland can succeed in this goal if we unite together to tackle the problem as a nation.
This was for a university project where we used our creative specialism to create a form of guerrilla design to promote social change. My idea was to create coasters placed in pubs/bars, one of the football fans' favourite areas before kick-off.
The coasters will use the slogan 'sing something else', a campaign aimed at encouraging people to stop chanting sectarian songs and slogans at football matches in Scotland. The coasters would also have a QR code on the back which would take the fans to a poster that promotes the slogan.
The design of both the poster and coaster is based on recent Scottish football posters which would peak football fans interest making them more likely to interact with the coaster.
